5 Fun Date Things To Do
Whether you 18 or 45, men and women alike are always looking for fun date things to do. Obviously if your relationship is brand new, there are alot of things you haven’t experienced together, so you have plenty of fun things to do on a date.
If you’ve been married for 20 years though, the creative date ideas may be a little further back in the mind. You may have fallen into a routine and be STUCK! Do not fret… we have plenty of great fun date things to do that will freshen up your romance and have you cuddling like newlyweds!
Here’s a list of our most popular date ideas that will work for any budget:
1. Plan a picnic – pick a park or a beach that you know your sweetie will love. Pack a picnic lunch that will melt his/her heart. You can make deli sandwiches, throw in some chips, add a simple fresh cut fruit salad and your favorite beverages. Take along a picnic blanket and you’re set. The alternative to a lunch is an even sunset picnic. Substitute some chocolate dipped strawberries, fresh cheeses and crackers with your favorite wine for a sunset you’ll both remember for ever!
2. Volunteer together – There’s something special about giving back and your relationship will be even stronger because of it. Find out what organizations around your area seek out assistance. If you are animal lovers, contact your local humane society. They are always in need of dog walkers to help exercise the dogs. Not only are you volunteering your time, but you’re also getting to take a nice walk together, with no interruptions.
3. Make a coffee date – For the cost of a cup of coffee, you have an unlimited source of entertainment by just watching people. Breaking up the routine is imperative to keeping your relationship fresh and fulfilling for both of you. So sometimes just a change of scenery can be just what the Love Dr. ordered. Take your sweetheart to the local coffee shop, get a good cup of java and start watching people. (Make sure you leave the laptop at home so you can have good quality time together.)
4. Pretend you’re snowed in – This is one of my favorites. Shut all the blinds and start a beautiful fire in the fireplace. The only rule in this date is no outside communication… remember you’re stranded. (wink, wink) So light dozens of candles all over the room. Spread a soft, snuggly blanket on the floor in front of the fire. Get some cozy pillows to snuggle with. Make some hot chocolate with marshmallows and put on a CD of your sweethearts favorite soft music. If you don’t know what his/her favorite is, a few artists that you can’t go wrong with are Harry Connick, Jr. and Josh Groban
.
5. Go Ice Skating – If you live in a northern climate, you can find oodles of outdoor ice rinks in the winter that make the most romantic settings. If you’re in a warmer climate, find an indoor ice arena. Rent some skates in your size and away you go! It’ll take your sweetheart back to wonderful memories of roller skating or ice skating when they were younger. And skating hand in hand you’ll show your sweetie just how much you are there to support him/her. You’ll be there to pick them up when they fall down. After you’ve had your fill, get a hot chocolate together or go out for ice cream sundaes.
These are a few simple ideas that are very low cost but really high on romance. This will get you headed down the right path to refresh your long standing relationship or show your new love just how special he/she is to you!
