Online Dating the Next Step

Let’s say you’ve gone ahead and signed up at a dating service and have taken the time to write an awesome profile.
You’ve uploaded multiple representative pictures of yourself and now you are going to connect and chat with a new contact. What’s next? How do you start separating those who may be a perfect fit and those that may not have any possibilities for you at all? You’re job is to find out who this woman you know nothing about truly is and not just who she tells you who she is. Yeah, it would be convenient if a woman were to have to wear labels like “Gold Digger” or “Daddy’s girl”. You wish. Obviously, you can’t just ask these kinds of direct questions. Of course, she probably wishes you wore a label too. Nevertheless, you need to know what to do an what not to do with this lady if you decide you want to pursue the relationship further.
Here’s a big one. After you are past some small talk let her help you by asking her, “What are the biggest mistakes guys make when dating online?” Listen. She’s going to tell you a lot about herself and her views on men in general. In fact, this conversation alone may tell you whether this is worth pursuing or not.
Next what you should do is simply ask her, “What are your thoughts about online dating?” At this point she will tell you if she has had any bad experiences dating online likely what they are and that will help you avoid making the same mistakes.
Here’s the most important one…..”What was the reason your last relationship didn’t work?” If she blames the guy 100%, you should probably move on. If she takes 100% of the blame herself, you should again likely keep looking. Now, if she says the her previous breakup was mutual or that the relationship just was wrong for both of them, you’ve heard the right answer. Move forward if you have the connection you’re looking for.
One last note, if you’re a single parent meeting that special someone can be hard unless you work with a dating site that’s designed for single parents only. Put yourself in front of other single parents that can appreciate you children and family values instead of resent it. It’ll make your dating experience that much better.
